I have been passionate about travel all of my life... mix that with an insatiable curiosity of people and this really is my dream come true. Based in Melbourne, Australia - I have spent the past decade working in the media at the commercial network Channel Seven as a journalist, news-reader, presenter and most importantly to me, documentary maker.

The way I started out on my doco path is probably such a cliché. I went away to Nepal with my friend and cameraman, Daniel McPherson. We borrowed a mates camera and did not have much else than our airfares. But that we declared to ourselves that was the true spirit of Adventure. On a shoestring budget we embarked on Nepal's Annapurna circuit (it is spectacular). We met some of the most warm hearted people you could dream of, and made a very humble and 'real and raw' travel doco. We sold it to Channel Seven, it aired, and so the journey began...

Along the way I have made several other documentaries, but one that stands out on the travel scene is the one that I produced and Daniel filmed called "Everest – Unfinished Business". It followed the story of 3 Victorian policeman who climbed Mount Everest in honour of the late Superintendent Paul Carr who was the head of the Victoria Police special operations group, who died while training for the climb. We sat on the mountain for the better part of three months… and by the time we came off... we had gone to places inside ourselves we had never imagined. The three men did make the summit... and even managed to do it all together.

It's the story of the human spirit that really intrigues me – so to now be making the 'Places We Go' travel series with heart and soul is the most natural thing I could be doing. We are traveling to the most incredible places, and I truly feel honored to be interviewing the people we feature in our series. (You can’t not fall in love with them!)

We have many plans for 'Places We Go', I hope you enjoy sharing in our journey.
